3rd Annual

Generation Next Nationals

National Basketball Tournament

Sponsored by GenerationNextBasketball.com

The third annual Generation Next Nationals will be presented by Elite Sports & Embrace the Game Athletics in October and sponsored by Generation Next Basketball. The three-day event will be hosted at Basketball City in Boston, MA and Boston University - from Friday October 31st, through Sunday November 2nd 2008.

The Generation Next Nationals brings together many of the East Coast's Elite Division I teams and the Open Division brings together Regional and Local teams to ensure that all teams are competing against teams of equal skill level in their proper divisions.

This event is being covered by Generationnextbasketball.com, scout.com, rivals.com, maxathlete.com, hoopscooponline.com, prepspotlight.com, hoopspotlight.com, and more.....with National Exposure coming in the form of evaluations, articles, pictures, and rankings. Spencer Pulliam from GNB will be heading up the scouting services.

The 2008 event will include 11 boys divisions - 17U Elite, 17U Open, 16U Elite, 16U Open, 15U Elite, 15U Open, 14U Elite, 14U Open, 13U Elite, 13U Open, 12U Open. Each age group will have a total of 12 AAU travel teams from all over the East Coast. While considerable attention will be focused on the prospects in the Elite age divisions, the Generation Next Nationals also provides recruiting services with a tremendous opportunity to scout the up-and-coming youngsters and players in the Open Divisions. A series of elite players made their first mark on the regional/national scene at past Generation Next Nationals tournaments, and more will gain exposure this fall.

The Spring 2007 Generation Next Nationals at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT was a HUGE success, drawing over 100 teams from all over the East Coast. Connecticut Elite beat Richmond Squires (Virginia) in the 15U Elite Division, New Heights (New York) beat the Playaz (New Jersey) in the 14U Elite Divison, and New Heights (New York) beat Connecticut Elite in the 13U Elite Division. The Spring 2008 Generation Next Nationals was moved to Greensborough, NC where we ONLY had an Elite Division with 24 15U teams and 12 14U teams. The 14U Division was won by New Orleans Jazz.
